Terms of Use
Last updated: August 2, 2026
These Terms govern your use of TOS Wallet and related software and resources made available by the TOS Network project maintainers (“TOS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using TOS Wallet, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the wallet. We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version and changing the date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. The wallet
TOS Wallet is software for creating or importing a wallet, viewing an address and balance, and signing and submitting transactions to the TOS Network. The wallet is an interface to a decentralized network. We do not control the network, validators, transaction ordering, confirmation times, fees, or third-party services.
3. Your keys and responsibility
- You are solely responsible for safeguarding your device, recovery phrase, private keys, passwords, and backups.
- Anyone with your recovery phrase or private key may control your wallet and assets.
- We cannot restore access, reset a recovery phrase, freeze assets, or recover assets sent to an incorrect address.
- You must independently verify recipient addresses, transaction amounts, fees, and transaction details before signing.
4. Eligibility and lawful use
You may use TOS Wallet only if you have legal capacity to enter into these Terms and your use is permitted where you live. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws, tax obligations, sanctions, and other regulatory requirements.
You must not use the wallet to violate law, infringe another person’s rights, distribute malware, interfere with the wallet or network, evade access controls, or facilitate fraud, theft, money laundering, terrorist financing, or other unlawful activity.
5. Software license
Subject to these Terms and the applicable open-source licenses, you may install and use TOS Wallet on devices you own or control. Rights in project names, logos, and other brand assets are not transferred to you. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses.
6. Blockchain transactions and fees
Transactions submitted to the TOS Network may be irreversible after acceptance by the network. Network conditions can cause transactions to be delayed, rejected, or priced differently from an estimate. You are responsible for all transaction details and network fees. Displayed balances and status information may be delayed or inaccurate because of node, device, connectivity, or network conditions.
7. Third-party services
The wallet or website may link to third-party software, nodes, websites, or services. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their availability, security, content, terms, privacy practices, or actions. Your use of a third-party service is governed by its own terms.
8. Digital-asset risks
Digital assets and blockchain software involve substantial risk, including loss of value, software defects, network attacks, forks, regulatory changes, compromised devices, lost keys, and user error. TOS Wallet is not a bank, custodian, exchange, broker, fiduciary, or investment adviser. Nothing in the wallet or on this website is financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.
9. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the wallet or related resources at any time. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device, or continued support for any network feature.
10. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the wallet, website, and related resources are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, security, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TOS contributors and maintainers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost assets, profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use the wallet, website, network, or third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TOS contributors and maintainers from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the wallet, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.
13. Termination
You may stop using the wallet at any time. These Terms end when you stop using and uninstall it, except for provisions that by their nature should survive. Because the wallet is non-custodial, discontinuing software or access to project resources does not transfer control of your keys or assets to us.
14. General
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms constitute the agreement concerning the wallet and do not override mandatory rights available under applicable law.
15. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be submitted through the TOS Network issue tracker.
